Make it your story.Your role and responsibilitiesLead a function focused on the optimization of the Production organization's assembly methods, processes and equipment in close cooperation with Production management and Research and Development (R&D).Establish and implement production engineering initiatives including but not limited to developing manufacturing technology, driving innovation, automation, and digitalization to improve productivity, capacity and manufacture cost.The work model for the role is: onsiteThis role is contributing to the Smart Building division in China.You will be mainly accountable for: ● Production process: ● Ensures that the production process aligns with the project targets. Define and optimize the manufacturing process to improve productivity and OEE ● Production cost: ● Defines production costs and the sequence of the working phases of a new production process in order to minimize cost and maximize quality. Monitor production costs, initiate cost reduction projects to reduce the costs such as manufacturing overheads, direct labor, etc. ● Budget: ● Develop and propose the estimated budget of investments necessary for the development of new products and processes. Monitor capex spending to ensure project execution on targets. Manage budget, including budget collection, application, execution, and management ● Digitalization: ● Drive the engineering initiatives to enhance company's intelligent manufacturing level. Cooperate with internal functions to enhance company's digitalization level ● Suppliers: ● Supports the Supply Chain Management department in ****ing suppliers, ****uating the technology and capacity, and determining the best option. ● Optimization and standardization: ● Cooperates with R&D, quality and other teams in the optimization of technical standards. ****uates new process technologies to improve productivity, quality and cost. Cooperate with internal functions to promote lean manufacture by using lean tools such as VSM, KAIZEN, PULL, SMED, etc. ● Health & safety: ● Reinforces and maintains a culture of health & safety in all production engineering initiatives. ● People leadership and development: ● Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.Qualifications for the role: ● Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering master’s degree is preferred. ● Minimum 10-15 years of relevant work experience in production engineering, manufacturing process optimization, or related fields within a manufacturing or industrial environment, at least 5 years managerial role experience. ● Proven experience in managing production processes, optimizing methods, and ****uating new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. ● In-depth understanding of lean production principles and digital manufacturing technologies, with proven practical experience in applying these to optimize production processes, improve operational efficiency, and drive digital transformation in a manufacturing environment. ● Proficient in developing investment budgets, tracking expenditures, and optimizing resource al**** to meet cost and performance targets. ● Expertise in managing end-to-end production process projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and targets. ● Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Chinese and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other teams, as well as international stakeholdersWhat's in it for you?
