In your new role you will:
-Primarily responsible for sales, marketing and distribution contracts for China sales region (China Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan).
-Also provides occasional support in other areas of law such as intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions/joint ventures, labour law and supplier contracts

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
-Training/qualifications – fully qualified lawyer who has passed the professional qualification examinations in China. Fluency in English and Chinese is required.
-Experience – at least 10 years of relevant professional experience, with sufficiently deep knowledge to provide excellent legal advice in an in-house environment, and able to be well accepted by management. Must have initiative, commercial acumen, and analytical and communication skills.
-Functional knowledge – strong understanding of commercially-related legal principles and concepts, deep expertise in business concerns and practical solutions, good commercial negotiation skills and professional level of legal drafting skills in English and Chinese.
-Analytical skills – uses strong judgment based on analytical thought and evaluation. Can handle medium to complex legal questions in commercial legal topics. Able to think creatively to provide pragmatic legal solutions for business concerns and needs. Able to significantly contribute in thought leadership to business risks and strategic decisions.
-Work quality – able to organize and prioritize work and respond within deadlines, and to handle multiple projects simultaneously while producing high work quality.
-Additional requirements – critical requirement of high integrity with respect to compliance and integrity issues: personal integrity to “do the right thing” for compliance topics, maintain the company’s high moral and ethical principles and hold and defend independent and professional viewpoints regarding compliance, professional standards and integrity, irrespective of pressure to conform.
