Collaborate with cross-functional Internal and or External teams to innovate and improve valve technology.•Testing and Validation: Develop and implement testing protocols for HVDC valves, including performance ****uation, reliability testing, and fault analysis.•Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering disciplines (e.g., power electronics, systems engineering) to ensure integrated design solutions.•Technical specification of BOM and support supply chain.•Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test plans,and technical reports.•Technical Support: Provide expert technical support during manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HVDC valve systems.•Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement within the team. RESULTS / DELIVERABLES RESPONSIBILITIESDesign Drawings: To prepare Electrical / Mechanical design from primary up to the final preparation of the HVDC valve & Cooling system products conforming to customer and projects specification. Studying Specifications of new Inquiries & tenders in order to determining the compliance & Deviations for Electrical/Mechanical/Control & Protection Points andMaking required drawings (outline, accessories, foundations…) of tender.Production Support: To release timely the required drawings needed for the fabrications accordingly.Quality Support: To provide specification in order to ensure the products and materials are conforming to the required and applicable standards.Standards & Certification: To co-ordinate with Internal and External organization for Certifications & Approvals. Various Country specific codes and Standards.Cost Saving: Re-****uate the existing products and study for the possible improvements considering the available resources and materials.Re-study the process, materials and assembly in order to achieve the optimize cost without risking the quality of the products.Design Value Engineering: ****uate the market requirement and market demand to match our product to the current market situation thru the support of Marketing department.BOMs (Bill of Materials): To upload and provide the required materials in SAP system in order to bring the materials on time for the project execution. Ensuring correct current procurement of materials through complete transfer of primary material after finalization of electrical design, and final material after complete release of design, to planning department through verifying and uploading all SAP BOMs.technology:Minimum Years of Experience: Minimum of 8 year and above as Design Engineer / R&D / C&P in HVDC related field.List specific competencies or knowledge which are critical to successful job performance•Knowledge on Design tools. Designing HVDC valves involves a combination of electrical, mechanical, and thermalengineering principles and its respective tools.•An adiquate knowledge in HVDC Cooling system•Knowledge on IEC/IEEE standards, Eg. IEC 60071,IEC 61800-5-1, IEC 62047: IEEE C37.92, IEEE 519, ANSI/IEEE C37.04, ANSI/IEEE C37.121, NEC, NFPA• Follow various international and national standards provide guidelines and requirements for the design, installation,operation, and maintenance of HVDC valves.•Experience of using Power system simulation tools such as PSSE, EMTDC /PSCAD, calculations in MATLAB/MATHCAD/Simu****•Extensive knowledge of Power Systems equipment and their application, such as Power Transformers, Capacitors,Reactors, Instrument Transformer and measuring equipment, Circuit Breakers, Disconnector, Surge Arrester etc.•Knowledge in ****ion, sizing and integration of above equipment based on customer functional specification. .•Deep knowledge in HVDC / FACTS system operation, control strategies, and grid integration.•Experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration.• Power Systems studies and modelling of electrical network.•Electrical Power Systems and Controls•Professional Engineer (PE) license is an advantage.
