Headquartered in Shanghai, HSBC Life Insurance Company Limited was established in August 2009. It is a 50-50 joint venture between HSBC Insurance (Asia) Limited and The National Trust Ltd. With a registered capital of RMB1025 million, the Company serves affluent and high-net-worth customers in Shanghai and Beijing through HSBC and Hang Seng bank's distribution channels. The Company offers comprehensive insurance services covering protection, retirement, children’s education, legacy planning and wealth growth to individuals and families.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Senior Finance Officer, Financial Reporting and Accounting, HSBC Life Insurance.

In this role, you will:

- Support Department Head to build and develop the BA team and manage day to day BA tasks.
- Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their ideas.
- Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (Business Requirements Document, Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs).
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
- Serve as the bridge between the INSH community (internal stakeholders) and the software development team through which requirements flow.
- Build the standard business requirement and testing documetation templates and procedures.
- Responsible for the overall performance and deliverables of BA team.
- Report BA team overall working status to Department Head.
- Proven track record in insurance core system project is a MUST.

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Business, Finance, Statistics or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in business analysis or consulting position of insurance area.
- 3+ years as a BA lead or senior BA.
- Strong understanding of insurance business operations.
- Strong understanding of insurance regulatory policies that impact the system design.
- Experience in successfully implementing/replacing core insurance system.
- Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent English speaking & writing skills.
- Ability project experience is highly preferred.
- System knowledge of Life400 & LIS 7 is highly preferred.
- Experience using test/control methodology.
