Make it your story.Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role you will be responsible for the development, verification, and approval of materials for new product projects, ensuring process reliability, quality consistency, and cost-effectiveness of mass production materials.The work model for the role is: onsiteThis role is contributing to the Distribution Solutions division in China.You will be mainly accountable for: ● Material Development:Collaborate closely with R&D, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Quality Control, and other departments to ensure the smooth development and timely delivery of materials required for new product projects. Be responsible for Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis of materials, work with suppliers to determine manufacturing processes and workflows, and identify and drive cost-reduction opportunities. Lead the resolution of various technical issues arising during material development, including those related to quality, design, delivery timelines, and manufacturing, organizing cross-functional root cause analysis and implementing effective countermeasures. Participate in the technical ****uation, ****ion, and validation of new materials to ensure they meet product performance and reliability requirements. ● Material Approval:Organize and execute the material approval process to ensure materials comply with design specifications, quality standards, and industry regulations. Plan and track the material development and approval process, coordinate internal and external resources to ensure key milestones meet the project timeline. Review and approve suppliers' Quality Control Plans, ensuring they cover critical material characteristics, process control points, and can effectively address issues identified during the development phase. Be responsible for the collation, archiving, and handover of approval-related documentation.Qualifications for the role ● Bachelor’s degree or above, major in materials, mechanical or electrical related. ● Experience in material development or supplier quality management. ● Material development experience in the electrical industry or related manufacturing sectors (such as automotive or industrial automation) is preferred. ● Ability to communicate in English, both written and oral. ● 材料加工工艺：熟悉常见的金属材料（如钢板、铜排、铝型材）和非金属材料（如工程塑料、绝缘件）的特性、加工工艺（冲压、焊接、注塑、表面处理）及应用场景。 ● 可制造性设计（DFM）与分析：精通DFM方法论，能独立对物料设计进行可制造性、可装配性及成本优化分析，并提出改进建议。 ● 图纸解读：能熟练解读机械结构图、电气原理图。 ● 供应商管理：具备与供应商进行技术对接、工艺评审、问题根因分析与解决的能力。 ● 质量控制工具：熟练掌握与运用核心质量工具，包括但不限于：PPAP（生产件批准程序）、FAI（首件检验）、Control Plan（控制计划）、FMEA（潜在失效模式与后果分析）、8D报告等。 ● 成本分析：具备基础的物料成本结构分析能力，与SCM、供应商协作推动降本方案。 ● 项目管理：具备基本的项目管理知识，能够制定和管理物料开发与批准计划，识别风险，并确保按时交付。 ● 工具软件：熟悉CAD软件（如SolidWorks, AutoCAD）操作，熟悉PLM/ERP系统（如Windchill, SAP）的操作。 ● 沟通与协调能力：能够与内部部门和供应商进行有效的技术沟通与协调，推动问题解决。 ● 问题解决与决策能力：具备结构化的问题分析与解决能力。 ● 结果导向：以项目目标和绩效指标为导向，确保按计划完成任务。 ● 团队合作：具备团队合作精神，能够积极主动地支持和配合跨部门团队工作。 ● 学习与适应能力：能够快速学习新技术、新工艺和新材料知识，适应不断变化的市场和项目需求。What's in it for you?
