The work model for the role is: onsiteThis role is contributing to the Distribution Solutions division in China.You will be mainly accountable for:Collaborate closely with R&D, production, quality, and procurement departments to ensure the smooth progress of material development. Responsible for the design for manufacturability (DFM) of materials, determine the manufacturing process and production process of materialsResolve technical issues encountered during material development Assess potential risks in the material development process and take response measures Collaborate with suppliers to ensure material manufacturability and production efficiencyCooperate with the quality department to develop the quality control process of the material to ensure that the material meets the quality requirements in the production process Organize and establish pre-delivery verification items for materials to ensure compliance with product design requirementsAnalyze material costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction Organize and execute the material approval process to ensure materials meet design and quality requirements Track the entire material approval process to ensure project timelines are met. ****uate suppliers' quality control plansQualifications for the roleBachelor degree or above, major in materials, mechanical or electrical related. Industry experience,More than 3 years of working experience in material development or related fields, familiar with material development and approval process. material development experience in switchgear, machinery, automobile and other industries is preferredMaterial knowledge and process knowledge. Familiar with the performance, specifications and applications of commonly used materials. Familiar with common manufacturing processes (such as injection molding, stamping, machining, etc.), understand their advantages, disadvantages and scope of application.Testing ability, familiar with materials performance testing, reliability testing and other methods. Cost control, with the ability of material cost analysis and optimization, and be able to propose effective cost control schemesTools & Software. Solidworks etc. Be familiar with PLM/ ERP system. Be familiar with FMEA etc. quality tools. Be familiar with DFM/ DFA process. Ability to communicate in English, both written and oral. Problem Solving Skills.
