The role requires strategic alignment with corporate goals and hands-on problem-solving to drive operational excellence.This position oversees all sites of harnessing business of Lapp China, including Shanghai, Dongguan, etc. This position will deliver on time, on budget, zero defect product to our customers to continually improve and grow the harnessing business. Key Responsibilities:1.Deliver products on time, on budget and at zero defects as well as guiding the corrective **** process if a defect occurs.2.Manage workload assignments based on resource skill set, capabilities, and business need and projecting manpower/skillset needs as the business grows.3.Develop/optimize business practices, processes, and procedures to fulfil customer's requirements and expectations.4.Ensure the safety of the employees within the manufacturing area.5.Develop and implement cost effective systems to control capital & operating expenditures. Responsibility to define, manage and control manufacturing budgets and profits.6.Participate & engage in Regional & Corporate calls/meetings & projects as required.7.Ad hoc assignments assigned by Manager.Qualifications:•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical engineering or manufacturing.•15+ years of Harness manufacturing experience.•10+ years of supervisory/management experience. Harness industry experience would be a big plus. •Experience in ISO / TS and international quality and standards preferred.Skills •Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development.•Experience in manufacturing operations for harnessing of cables/connectors. •Knowledge on Harness processes & functioning method of harness processing equipment, Machines & techniques is a must •Knowledge on Component sources & assembly method is an added advantage•Experience and in-depth knowledge of cables, connectors and electrical accessories. •In-depth knowledge of manufacturing operations & cost control•Excellent communication and relationship management skills with the ability to engage and influence, negotiate, and manage key stakeholders•Strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels•Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities •Commercially and financially astute with experience of managing budgets •Ability to positively resolve issues arising from different cultures•Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferable and championing Kaizens•Project Management Skills
