Position Summary:

The Leads Generation Specialist is responsible for the qualification and development of leads generated from sales, marketing and other channels. Focused on prospecting, response rate to marketing programs output, lead qualification and creation of high quality leads. Includes engaging with existing customers and qualified sales leads, guiding customers to the Illumina products that best meet their needs, and coordinating with internal resources to address customer questions/ions. Works closely with inside, field sales representatives and sales channel partners to meet and exceed sales quotas for a specific domain (by product line, account type, and/or sales territory). Achieve high leads generation related performance, primarily Leads To Opportunity conversion.

All About You

Responsibilities:

Responsible for lead funnel and opportunity creation measured by KPI
Lead Funnel Responsibility
Owns the regional lead queue follows up all qualified leads (Automated Qualified Leads /Marketing Qualified Leads) within agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA)
Qualifies BANT of the qualified leads with aim to create ”create stage Opportunities” for hand off to sales organization
Ensures clean and accurate account and contact creation in the CRM
Keep track of LGS created ops and follow them through the sales funnel
Programs and Campaigns follow up
Work closely with marketing programs, digital programs and events team to follow up on all campaigns and programs including events and tradeshows
Participate in lead generation programs together with the marketing programs team to reach out to potentially new customers using all of our channels including social
Special outreach projects to map accounts in specific market segments
Ensures a high level of liaison with other departments & staff to ensure coordination of activities. Executes on and provides regular reports on results of lead generation projects and activities. Represents the company professionally, ethically and morally at all times.
Responsible for entering and maintaining lead data into our customer relationship management database
Participate regular process optimization project to improve Key Performance, primarily “Leads To Opportunity” conversion %
Help customer contact for assets and Voice of Customer related activities where required

Educational :

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
Business, science or technical degree strongly preferred.
Chemistry or molecular biology degree a plus.

Preferred :

No prior sales experience required, but this would be advantageous.
Fluency in Chinese Mandarin. Proficiency in a local dialect (e.g., Kanton) would be useful
Genetic analysis sales experience and/or familiarity with the Illumina product line a plus.
Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp and master highly technical concepts and articulate them well to others.
Outstanding listening, verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of customer personality types. Ability to interact well with highly educated research scientist customers.
Strong ability to identify customer needs, obstacles to the sales process and solutions using Illumina products & services.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience working with SalesForce.com or a similar CRM database a plus.
Team goal oriented with a focus on achieving team performance metrics.
Efficient time management skills with the ability to stay focused on primary business ives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
