From our SLC Global Service Business Process Shared Services (BPS) Business Shared Services (BSS) Global Translation Services (GTS) CN, Siemens are looking to recruit a professional Translation Specialist.
What are my responsibilities?
Continual management of interfaces to a wide range of stakeholders
Project acquisition in the context of the entire service portfolio of GTS
Review translation inquiries and prepare cost-covering quotations
Order planning including schedule, quality and cost monitoring
Order processing in line with internal guidelines / specifications
Optimization of work processes with the aim of delivering efficient and high-quality results
Translation, localization and proofreading of technical documentation (Manuals, Online Help, User Interfaces, etc.); good cooperation with external vendors
Research, define and provide terminology
Advise customers on a technical and linguistic level
Support and advise external translators
Update the reports, and complete other tasks assigned by the superior
What do I need to qualify for this job?
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (from a famous university is a plus), successfully completed studies (technical translation, automation engineering related) or comparable training with corresponding job experience
Well grounded understanding of basic technical matters of translation (translation memory, content management and workflow systems); at least 2 years’ experience as a technical translator is a must (better in a localization company)
Excellent knowledge of the local Siemens translation market
Excellent Chinese and English written and spoken skills; CET-6 or TEM-4 Certificate is a must, TEM-8 Certificate is a plus
Ability to assert oneself, focus on results and excellent analytical skills as well as a talent for planning and organizing; teamwork spirit and good communication skills
Prefer basic understaning about German
